West Ham Joins Race with Tottenham and Lille for Prolific Nigerian Striker

Orban’s time at Gent has been truly remarkable since his move from the Norwegian lower-league club Stabaek in January.

The Nigerian striker has showcased his skills with an impressive record of 26 goals and two assists in only 28 matches for the former Belgian champions.

At just 21 years old, Orban has consistently expressed his aspiration to shine in the Premier League, and this ambition has already sparked keen interest from two London-based clubs.

While Tottenham has been in negotiations with Gent for Orban’s services, both parties are yet to reach an agreement on the transfer fee. Gent is reportedly seeking a substantial sum, somewhere between €30-40 million, a price point that Tottenham seems reluctant to meet.

Fulham and Lille have also emerged as potential destinations, though no concrete developments have surfaced from these discussions.

Interestingly, West Ham Central’s report suggests that West Ham might be the next contender to consider Orban from Gent.

This comes as West Ham seeks to fill the void left by Gianluca Scamacca’s move to Atalanta. Although their primary target is Sevilla’s Youssef En-Nesyri, it appears the La Liga side is unwilling to part with the Moroccan striker.

Challenges arise for West Ham, particularly regarding Orban’s valuation. With just a little over a week remaining in the transfer market, time is of the essence if West Ham intends to secure Orban’s services this summer.
